SILIGRAN®

SILIGRAN® is natural silica sand or quartz gravel, which is multi washed, dried and sieved into different gradings between 0.063 - 16 mm.

Characteristics:

  • free of organic impurities
  • accurate classifying
  • always constant grading curve
  • apparent grain density 2.65 g/cm³
  • bulk density (depending on granulation): 1.4 – 1.6 g/cm³
  • Hardness 7 (Mohs scale)
  • SiO2 grades: 96 – 99.5 masses %
  • Residual moisture content:
    < 0.3 masses %

Application range:

  • Filler: for coatings, lacquers and colours, adhesives, joint compounds and surfacers
  • Blasting grit: for polishing, sanding and blasting with water or mineral undergrounds
  • Addition: for ready-mixed mortar, screeds and finery
