Production control of construction material

Production of concrete and mortar are one of the main parts of sand and gravel year production.

To avoid health risks is the mean priority of building regulations.

To reach this target there are some specific norms in the EU. For example the EN 12620 (Aggregates for concrete) and the EN 13139 (Aggregates for mortar) apply.

 

For inspection of building materials the following parts are prescribed:

 

Factory production control

The factory production control has to be according to appendix H of EN 12620 respectively
appendix E of EN 13139. Therefore the production has to be certificated e.g. by ISO 9001.  

External quality control of Euroquarz
The external quality control comprised an initial inspection of the production plant and the control laboratories, a regular control over the production year and some special controls by an accredited laboratory, e.g. in Germany the “Landesverbände des Bundesüberwachungsverband Kies, Sand und Splitte e.V. (BÜV-KSS)”.

 

During initial inspection the quality management system, the production and the factory quality control are checked. The yearly inspection has to secure that the requirements to the employees and the technical equipment are according to the norm. Also the conformity of the products to the norm has to be checked.

 

The regular production control is once a year in order to check the accurate continuance of the initial inspection standard.

 

A special inspection is necessary if there are one or more discrepancies to the norm or if the plant stops producing more than 6 month.
 

 

Certification
Based on inital inspection, regular inspections and attestation of factory production control it is possible to certificate the producer by a notified body. EUROQUARZ is notified by the BÜV KSS in Duisburg (CE No 0778) and in Berlin (CE No 0908).
