Safe transport of pallet loading bagged material on trucks
Bagged cargo, cardboard boxes and buckets are basically loaded on euro-pallets and are assured with foil (shrink hood, stretch hood or sleeve stretch). At our plants we place the loaded pallets on the loading area according to the truck drivers instructions.
- The truck driver himself is responsible to
- make sure that the centre of gravity of the loading lies above the trucks longitudinal axle
- make sure that the pallet loading bagged material is stored slip-proof and if necessary fixed securely
- keep the permitted total weight and the permitted axle load of the truck
At our plants in Dorsten and Ottendorf-Okrilla the truck driver has the possibility to
- purchase lashing straps to secure the pallets if necessary
- weight their trucks and trailer before loading material (tare weight) and after loading material (gross weight) on the factories own scale to control the actual weight
- unload material in case of overloading
